1) Agreement
By ordering, renting, or using any equipment from Kulea Rentals (“we,” “us,” “our”), you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms.
2) Services
We rent washing machines and dryers (electric 240V and propane LP) on a month-to-month basis across Kauaʻi, subject to availability and approved delivery access.
3) Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe, code-compliant hookups (power, water, drain, vent, and for LP dryers: LP supply + regulator).
- Ensure clear delivery path; adult (18+) present to sign the Rental Agreement at install.
- Use equipment for normal residential laundry only; no commercial use.
- Notify us promptly of any malfunction; do not attempt repairs beyond basic checks.
4) Fees & Billing
- Monthly rental fees as quoted. Taxes and trip fees (if any) extra.
- Deposit may be required. Autopay is recommended.
- Late payments may incur a late fee after a grace period of 10 days.
5) Maintenance & Repairs
We cover normal wear repairs and reasonable parts/labor. If a unit cannot be fixed promptly, we will swap it. Damage due to misuse, flooding, pests, vandalism, or unapproved modifications may be billed to Customer.
6) Property Access
Customer authorizes reasonable access for delivery, service, and pickup during normal hours, with prior coordination. If gated, Customer provides access codes or permissions. The Customer is responsible for securing all pets prior to delivery, installation, or maintenance visits. Kulea Appliance Rentals reserves the right to refuse service if animals are not safely confined. Any injuries or damages arising from pet behavior remain the Customer’s sole responsibility.
7) Risk & Liability
Customer is responsible for ensuring proper venting, drain connections, and water shutoff valves at the premises. We are not responsible for pre-existing or structural conditions (e.g., old hoses/valves that fail). To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damages not exceeding three (3) months of rental fees for the affected unit.
8) Term & Termination
Month-to-month. Either party may terminate with notice so we can schedule pickup. We may terminate for non-payment, unsafe conditions, or misuse.
9) Title
All equipment remains our property and may not be sold, transferred, or moved to another address without written consent.
10) Governing Law
Hawaiʻi law governs. Venue: Kauaʻi County, Hawaiʻi.
11) Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued service after notice constitutes acceptance.
